Former NPSFL player Justin Hopps won his head to head battle against star quarterback Willie Beamen. 17th ranked Kansas Storm upset #8 Miami Sharks 26-7 in the 1st round of the BFL Tournament.

Kansas didn’t get much from their running game, but Hopps was able to find his tight end Gripper consistently throughout the game. Gripper had 9 receptions, 135 yards, and 2 touchdowns vs the Sharks defense.

Justin Hopps turned the ball over once, but he was solid in his tournament game. Hopps completed 60% of his passes, threw for 228 yards and 2 touchdowns.

On the other side, Willie Beamen was only able to complete 48.6% of his passes and threw 2 interceptions. The Sharks didn’t have 1 receiver with 100 yards in the game and it didn’t help to have 8 drops as a team.
