The opening game of the season between the Atlanta Kings and the Dirty Birds was a high scoring game with no passing touchdowns.
The Kings were able to pull off the 24-21 victory over division rival Dirty Birds. The late 4th quarter field goal miss by Augustus Wooten would have tied the game at 24, but the kick fell short. Lamaul Mexico was sacked the play before for a huge loss and that was the difference between a make and a miss, as the field goal attempt came on the very next play.
