Rookie quarterback Fredrick Plump drove Atlanta down the field and threw the game winning touchdown to Jermaine Morrison to give the Fire a 24-21 preseason win over the Washington Jarheads. The drive was setup by a couple of key completions and good running by Malik Baron.
Plump is 3rd on the qb depth chart and although his performance was impressive, it may not have been enough to move him ahead of Drew Delt. Both quarterbacks are bronze tier players, but Plump is a precision passer who rather throw from the pocket, while Delt is a mobile quarterback.
