It’s only week 3 and we have a major trade already. The Detroit Monsters acquire quarterback Kingsley Cooke via trade with the Texas Bruisers. Cooke, a gold tier experienced qb, is having a tough time adjusting to the BFL and his stats show it.
To his defense, he was surrounding by all bronze receivers in Texas. Cooke didn’t have a true weapon he could rely on in the Bruisers offensive scheme, but that’s about to change.
Now that he’s a part of the Detroit Monsters, Kingsley Cooke has gold tier receiver Rod Tidwell as his #1 target and he has Malcom Smith as a solid receiving back out of the backfield.
In exchange for Cooke, the Detroit Monsters traded away Honduras wide receiver Nigel Vega. Vega was a beast in the BIFL North America Tournament, and through 2 weeks in the BFL, Vega has
5 receptions for 82 yards and 1 touchdown. He’ll add much needed speed to the Texas Bruisers offense.
